    Join our new research group! If you are interested in Computational Biology, more precisely molecular simulations of biomolecules, protein/RNA structure and mechanics, bioinformatics, and/or high performance computing check the following research areas:

    MOLECULES under FORCE BIOPOLYMER ELASTICITY, polymer physics

    PROTEIN ALLOSTERY, factors, mechanism, evolution

    CELLULAR protein assemblies with mechanical function

    PROTEIN/RNA NETWORKS and evolution

    We work at the newly established PICB (www.picb.ac.cn), a joint institute of the Max-Planck Society and Chinese Academy of Sciences, located in the heart of Shanghai, and the MPI for Metals Research in Stuttgart (www.mf.mpg.de).

    State of the art molecular dynamics methods will be used and partially developed. The group-owned extensive parallel compug clusters and access to supercomputing facilities in Shanghai will be at your disposal. You will work in close collaboration with experimental groups, in Shanghai, Germany, and the US. Employment is possible both at the PICB in Shanghai and/or the MPI in Stuttgart.

    我们主要有以下研究方向：

    1.机械外力下的分子; 生物大分子的弹性，高分子物理

    2.蛋白质变构效应及其要素，机理和演化

    3.具有力学功能的细胞蛋白质组装

    4.蛋白质/RNA网络和演化

    研究小组属于新近成立的中国科学院－马普学会计算生物学伙伴研究所。该所由中国科学院与德国马普学会联合建立，坐落于上海市中心。同时小组在德国斯图加特的马普学会金属研究所进行部分研究工作。

    我们将使用并发展最先进的分子动力学方法。研究小组拥有用于并行计算的大型计算机集群，并可以使用上海的超级计算设备。你将与上海，德国和美国的实验研究小组密切合作，并有机会在上海的PICB及斯图加特的MPI工作。
